Bought this for switchgear inspection work and it has been spot on. The PI and DAR functions are exactly what I wanted, and the 1000V test option gives much more confidence than relying on a standard meter.
We use it for motor cable megohmmeter checks in a small manufacturing site. The display is clear, the leads feel properly insulated, and having AC/DC voltage on the same unit saves me carrying another tester for first checks.
I was comparing it against a much pricier Fluke unit for routine maintenance work. This does the insulation resistance testing and PI readings I need on pumps and motors, and the value is genuinely impressive.
Very capable digital insulation test instrument and easy enough to use once you read the manual. My only minor gripe is that I would have liked a harder carry case, but performance-wise it has been reliable.
Used it on long cable runs during commissioning and the 100GΩ range was one of the main reasons I ordered. It feels like a proper professional megger tester without the eye-watering brand price.
Delivery was quick and the unit worked straight out of the box with the supplied batteries. Frequency and DC voltage checks are handy, though Bluetooth logging would have been nice. Still very good for the price.
